hey guys, yesterday i forgot to plug my truck in for over night. it reaches -35 Celsius which is about -31 F. the truck gave one weak turn over then it started right up. i was kinda surprised especially sense i have LT headers, no cats and dual exhaust. i have never pluged my truck in yet this winter and the coldest it had got was about - 38.

gotta love the Canadian winters.

when do you start plugging your truck in.

When I had my 06 Canyon I plugged it in at -30.....with my 08 2500HD 6l, I have not had to plug it in yet. We have not had a 'real' cold snap here in Ottawa, yet. Mind you, once it hits -30 or -35 I will think about it.

Mind you the cold we have here is different than out there in the flat lands of SK. :(

I never plugged in my colorado once when I owned it...the block heater cord was still tucked in by the factory! haha. I usually plug my silverado in when its colder then -20c.

I plug mine In at -17c. The truck heats up faster when it's plugged in for 2 hours or so. I also have the block heater on a timer. (5 am till 7 am).

ya the wind chill sucks in sk, it builds up for miles, lol.

how was the humidity in your areas, it is HIGH here, like -15 i feels like -35. this morning is was -35. my hands turned red and froze within 10 seconds of stepping out. it took them about 10 minutes to warm up.

i dont plug it in anymore, it seems like if u starting pluging it in the one time you forget and it gets cold the damn thing wont start. its like it ruins the truck lol
