Installing Rc 2" Level Kit Tomorrow

from what i have read.

you can put the truck on a lift or jack stands and make sure the front end suspension is at full droop.

then you can unbolt the lower shock mount and use a big ass pry bar to slip in the RC level kit and simply bolt the shock back in

this should allow you to install the kit without disconnecting the balljoints.

this is what i plan to do at least

It takes a little over an hour and i would give it a 3.5 out of 10 on difficulty. Yes you have to get an allignment. The ride on mine sucked untill i got it lined up and then was back to stock.

One tip. When tightening the ball joint. be careful with the allen wrench. It can get stuck between the post and the boot and is a pain in the butt to get out.

Thanks for the video plug, ATX.

do you have to remove the ball joint?

I didn't. It was just as easy without removing it. To clarify. I installed it on my 07 and the first side I removed the ball joint. But on the second side, I tried it without removing it and was able to install just as easy. When I re-installed the same blocks on my 11, I didn't remove either side. Very easy to use jack stands on the struts and lower the truck some to slide the blocks in. :driving:

If you just jack up one side you will need to loosen the sway bar links. It is best to just jack up the front of the truck and let both sides of the suspension droop. That way you are not fighting the sway bar the entire time.

It really is as easy as just unbolting the coilbody from the LCA and using a pry bar to help you slide the spacer in. Took me and a buddy 30 min to do it this way.

Just watch the damn video, when I put mine on I had my Iphone next to me with the video playing....took 45mins for the first side, about 15mins for the second. Very easy to do. The hardest part was taking the wheels off, 20's are heavy.
