all i am looking for is better gas mileage....think this will help?

Well...I don't have any first hand experience, but I have a couple of ideas I'm going to try out on my 95 in addition to the ones you already listed.

1.  Turbo City has a "Mixture Enhancement Selector" which is supposed to have 3 settings "stock" "economy" and "performance"  In "economy" its supposed to help 1-2 MPG.

2.  Replace the engine driven fan with an electric unit.  That will free up a constant drag on the engine at highway speeds.

3.  Jacobs Ignition.

4.  Replace Oxygen sensor and a good tune up.

None of these may help much, but I figure I'll give it a try.  My 96 Corvette gets 24-26 mpg on the highway with 4.10 gears, so I hope my 4wd Yukon can get better than 13.5.

If you are thinking about a Hypertech chip I have one I took out of my 95 before I traded it I will sell cheap. It helped the fuel milage a little (maybe 1 or 2 mpg) but the big difference was in performance and trans. shifting. The part# is 351771 (Street Runner). It is in the original box with all papers. It has about 10,000 miles on it.Later,Donnie

man, my '85 vette has no where near 4.10s in it and she doesn't get anything close to 24-26! im lucky to get 19!!!!

those are all good suggestions, im gonna start with the O2 sensor first i guess....that should help emissions too (they're coming up in december!!!!)

95_togo, I'll take $50.00+shipping for the chip.As far as install,it's pretty easy.Computer is behind the glove box.The instructions are good and if you run into problems you can call Hypertech ,they are really nice folks.Later,Donnie :jester:
