I can't decide....help me out!

Here's what i'm looking at.

-2002 Dodge Ram SLT, 4x4 (I've changed my mind, I think it's worth it to have 4x4), 4.7L V-8, manual or auto?, Bright silver metallic

-2003 Dodge Ram ST (SLT if i HAVE too), 4x2, 5.7 V-8, manual, Bright silver metallic, sport trim package

-Chevy of some sort, the ONLY reason I'd buy a chev is b/c of the motors, they're a little pricey though, so It probably won't be anything new

-200X Mustang SVT Cobra, awesome exhaust sound, it would be fun to have a sports car again :P bye bye toyota!!!!

Just remember that I'm on a truckers budget and I'm paying child support for 2 kids. What do you think my best way to go would be?

Hmm, GM-Trucks.com, what do you think we are going to say? :P

I don't mind the new Dodges, but the engines are not up to par with Fod and GM.

If you wait for the Hemi, then you might not get a new truck for a bit, but if you get a Chevy then you'll have it right now. (same with the other dodge).

Also, if you get the 02 dodge, then you'll be one of the first with it, so..

Not sure what to tell ya!

(I'm giving you a chance to convert me back)

I used to have a '90 S-10, before I smacked it up in '95. I loved that truck, but it was just too dang small. Wasn't too keen on the all-blue, all-plastic interior though.

I picked the GM truck...  Mainly because the from people I've talked to, the 4.7L is not enough motor for a big truck...

GM is offering great interest rates right now...

Chevy/GMC trucks hold their value better than anything on the market...

Chevy/GMC have true rear lockers...

When was the last time you dorve a full-size 4x4 with 285 hp and got 17-20 mpg's???  Another plus for the General!!!

If you want a sports car than a 2002 Camaro SS will beat the crap out of the mustang and will hold it's value well, since it is the last year before production is ended...

I get 20 mpg with my 5 speed manual 4.8 270 hp 4x2 Silverado, even when hauling mine and my son's dirt bikes. You will not get that with any other truck with a V8.

Rustang??? Get some power!!!! A Camaro Z28 SS, or Firebird Formula WS6 (both 325hp and get 24 to 27 mpg hwy) will handle as well, out run, and get better gas mileage than then a Rustang dreams of.

Not only that, GM in their infinte wisdom has stopped production of F-bodies (Camaros and Firebirds) 2002 will be the last year. Get one and own a piece of history.

I think I'm gonna wait for a 353 hemi.

-353 horsepower with mid to upper 20's in Miles per gallon highway with cylinder deactivation

-Hemi's sound good :P

-I've just grown attached to Dodge

-I think this is the begining of a good turnaround for Dodge

I've considered Camaro's, but man do they cost $$'s!!!! A SVT Cobra makes 320 horse, i'm not sure what the Camaro makes ? I think its about the same.

A 02 Cobra puts down 270 or so Rear wheel HP and is rated for 320 flywheel HP.

The 02 Camaro ss is "rated" for 325 flywheel hp, and really puts down 320 Rear wheel HP. With the optional exuast and cold air intake the SS goes to 345 flywheel HP and over 330 RWHP. At a 15% drivetrain loss that puts the real rating of the SS's engine in the 376hp range!!!! :notice:

The camaros whip the mustangs butt all day long with 12 seconds 1/4's  strait from the dealership.
