05 Suburban Fuel Pressure Issue?

2005 suburban 1500 will very rarely start on initial cranking. I can turn the key forward and wait for the pump to kick-in and it will start right up. always starts on the second try (cranking), regardless. it has been this way for about a year. is this a bad fuel pump, fuel pressure issue or maybe a clogged fuel filter?

What is your fuel pressure key on engine off? Should be 55-62 range. Does Fuel Pressure hold once pump shuts off or does it drop off pretty rapid? Pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regualtor and see if there is any fuel in the vac line I have seen a few that leak, if pressure is dropping off possible an injector concern as well
