2003-2007 Classic Console Swap

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I recently purchased a factory console off ebay and am planning on swapping out my factory jumpseat and replace it. I bought one with the glovebox door, which you will need to make the swap work and it came with the upper mounting bracket as well as the kickpanel under the steering wheel. They guy gave me a wire harness which I believe is the one that connects everything under the dash. I will try and take pictures of the steps needed as well as all the tools. My truck is a 2004 Silverado Z71 ccsb. 5.3L 4WD

I may know a guy that might want your jump seat? Would you be willing to sell it?

knee bolster (kickpanel under steering wheel) is the same regardless of what you have. did you get the console with or without the air ducts. if you got the one with the air ducts, you will need the airbox kit or the lower half of the current airbox. I have swapped out my jumpseat and floor console at least 3x a year - depends if i want "luxury" or space.

That was one of the better interior upgrades I done to my truck. Even customized it to work with the manual transfer case (I ordered the truck without auto-track). I got my console and console glove box part for $250 from one of these forums that were selling it. I think it retails for $1000 or so last time I looked the individual parts up. Good luck with the swap.

Yeah I was planning on selling my jumpseat. The lid is broken on it and comes completely off. I have seen on ebay you can get lid repair kits. This was a big problem with the 2003-2007 Classic Silverado's. GM should have used better hardware. But to get back to your question yes, it is the dark charcoal cloth color with leather top. Just let me know if you are still interested.
