Yea, I do remember having one of those reel lights under the hood of my 1990 Chevy. Real shame there are no stock lights under the hood now. Looks like a great idea.

LMC truck sells both the reel type and the mecury light, I will be buying them for my 2010 GMC Sierra soon. My 1995 Chevrolet Silverado has them both

Great ideas here, miss the reel light under the hood of my '93. I think gm just doesn't want us under the hood anymore. I miss the floor lights as well, think I found my next project

Real shame there are no stock lights under the hood now.

the 2012 Express van i use at work has a factory under hood light. good place to acquire one from dealer/junk yard..
