Installing Bt On My 08 Denali

I just want to make sure I am getting this right from the post I have been reaing thru. So if I want to install blue tooth in my 08 Denali I have to find an 09-11 that has been wrecked and use the module from that and install and antenna? If not I need to go with an aftermarket system. I was hoping with me being able to use hands free by using the call button on the mirrior it would be easier than this.

read the post in "audio/video" section about installing bt on an 08, it is a long thread that should be able to tell you anything you need to know, basically you can install the vcim from an 09 and get bt but your onstar won't work, and then you can use the steering wheel controls to answer/hang up

I was hoping I read it wrong I guess I will look into aftermarket. Seems like a big process for factory install

i've heard that it isn't too bad to install it and i think it would be nice to have it intergrated into the existing speakers and mic. the only aftermarket that i know of that can do this completly replaces your onstar vcim, so same amount of work and some features don't work.
