2011 Front Bumper

OK guys I stopped in a parking lot today and stared at a 2011 HD silverado with an entire front chrome bumper. My Z71 has the painted corners. I don't see why it can't fit but I didn't measure of course. Ideas? I know there are many aftermarkets but I miss my front chrome bumper.

Ideas welcome.

The HD front bumper looks larger. I don't know if the entire bumper set up will work but I have seen HD chrome end caps on 1500's before.

Did the one you looked at have the solid bumper or one with the end caps?

HD end caps won't fit on a 1500,they're too tall.

And a 2011 HD bumper won't fit on an 1500 either,different setup as far as height and brackets go,now you could probably modify or make custom brackets to make it fit if you want,but it won't be a simple bolt-on project.

Also,GM just announced a new "custom chrome front bumper package" for the 1500's that includes chrome end caps,so they now have chrome end caps made just for the 1500's.

And for a split second I thought that this would be a bumper that would stay rust free for at least a year.

the HD bumper was one solid piece.

Do you have a part number for that new one?

A 2011 HD bumper can be swapped to an earlier GMT-900 HD. You need the bumper, brackets and grill as it is a different shape. I have no idea how well if at all this would work for a 1500.

the HD bumper was one solid piece.

I do not know if I would use the word "solid" in reference to these bumpers. "Continuous" might be more appropriate.

there are a couple of 2011 HD swaps already done, im not too sure if you will need different brackets though.

you will though need to get a 2011 HD grille since your current one will not fit the mold of the HD bumper, and it will hang a bit lower than your current bumper since its a bit taller.

plus your hood will not line up unless you get the trim piece that goes on the hood(last pic). or get an 11 HD hood.

-2011 Hood trim molding (Grille piece)- 20963700

Im not sure if the hood trim piece is included on the hood, it may be separate.
