2006 Silverado 4x4 Leveling Kit

I just did a rc leveling kit on my NBS 07 and my buddy down the street with an 06, who helped me install mmine, is digging the front being higher

What options does he have? I did a search but the information is spotty

If we buy leveling keys, what's the difference from just cranking on the stock bars? How hard are the keys to install ?

Thanks for your help

You should easily be able to get 2" out of stock keys. The GMT-800 leveling kits are just re-indexed keys to allow you to crank more on the bolts for more lift. If your torsion bars are "warn", you may not be able to achieve the desired 2" of lift and the new index keys would help get that. But that comes with a downside on the GMT-800's I'd get the truck on level ground, take before and after measurements and not try and go over 2" of lift and he'll be fine. If you try to do more, you'll get adverse effects on ride quality and added strain on the ball joints and cv joints.

Also, be sure to get an alignment afterwards

The keys aren't hard to swap, but BE SURE TO USE A TORSION KEY PULLER and not a home made version. They are under extreme pressure. With the proper tool, they are fairly easy to swap.

What's the procedure to crank on the stock keys ? He wants to go up alittle bit in the front

I'm assuming raise the front of the truck and there's an adjuster somewhere

I got a set of new keys because one of mine was maxxed out and the front was still an inch lower than the rear at stock height. THen, I added a brush guard and lost another inch. So the new keys were ordered last night to level the truck.
