Power Steering Question

I tried the search function and 3 times it came up with an error so i figured i would start a new thread. When i was changing my oil last time i noticed a oily residue on the bottom of what i think is my steering pump, it was is attached to the sleeve that the tie rods go into. Anyways i have about 400 miles left on my bumper to bumper warranty and don't know if i will be able to get it in before it expires, so i am wondering is the steering system covered under the powertrain warranty or not?

According to GM, steering is not covered under the power train 5 year/100k miles warranty.
