Bed Lining Rockers For Two Tone Look

What brand of spray in bed liner did you use? Would you think it would be very difficult to do an entire bed using it?

A shop sprayed it in, not me. The brand is Reflex. They normally use it for the entire bed, I just had them spray it on my sides.

Ordered some white door handles and some window tint today. Also a black z71 sticker for the back if i decide to leave it on. hopefully i can get the door handles and tint done next weekend, along with my body lift and leveling kit. pictures to follow when im done.

also, nadielite, i got some door molding. ill take a picture tomorrow with the old door molding mocked up in place to see how it looks

Exactly. I saw a late model chevy or gmc (silver) that had been Line-X'd (black) like yours, but it also had fender flares (bolts showing) that were sprayed too. Now this truck was lifted 6" with some black / chrome rims, but it was the best looking truck I've ever seen. If I can find a pic I'll post it. Another option would be to paint your bumpers to match the truck. I believe this truck had the bumpers painted as well. You wouldn't necessarily have to go with the ginormous fender flares either, just something with a stock look or a bit bigger. I've always liked that look. Just my .02.

I've thought about painting my bumpers white and grill white. Either ill paint them all white or bed line then and paint my grill black. And for the fender flares they will definitely be sprayed black to match. I'm just not sure if I want the ones with the fake bolts or just the stock looking extend a fender from bush whacker also. I hope you can find that picture. Thanks for your opinion

I think it looks good. IMO, window tint will help a lot, and I like the idea of a black Z71 sticker. I also think the door handles look fine. I've never been a huge fan of the color matched stuff...it always seems like "too much" for me. :banghead:

Keep the bed caps, they serve a purpose. Also, I think a small lift/level and some black rims (liked the suggestion of hoss or monster rims) would make it look even better. In the end, do what YOU want to do...it's your truck.

Damn, I can't find that photo. I had saved it for this particular purpose but must have deleted it at some point. Like I said, it's up to you and what YOU like. I think the bottom of the bumpers painted to match with the fender flares would look great. Good luck in whatever you decide and post some pics when your done.

Did the shop use the masking tape with the fine piano wire along the edge? The pics look like he just used masking tape. No idea if you know what I am talking about, but the local Line-x shop here uses masking tape that has a very fine piano wire along the edge. They pull the wire to remove the masking tape and the wire "cuts" a very clean edge.

idk for sure what they used, but im guessing just masking tape. but that stuff is sprayed on kinda think, so your going to have an edge there unless they try to feather it in. is that what your asking? or do you mean the edge its clean looking? cause in person its nice and straight with no chunks missing or anything.

I like it a lot. Its amazing to me how much painted door handle matters. The truck looks really good to me in the second picture since you can't see the pin stripe.

Debadge and remove the pin stripe to clean it up more

lol i didnt even noticed you couldnt see the pin stripe in the second picture. i was on the fence about removing it, but i agree it looks better without it.

I like the truck a lot better with the door handles and without the pin stripe. I also like the bed caps and wish my truck had some. I honestly would skip the wheels and only upgrade tires. I think adding a set of slightly larger BFG AT's and a 2" leveling kit would make your truck look awesome. I really like the 2 tone and think it's incredibly functional. Great looking truck!

I say throw some black wheels on it, a set of black offroad bumpers, some Bushwasker Pocket Style Flares, and leave the mirrors alone. JMO though.

It looks good with the tint and the color matched door handles, from there i say do what ever you want. The white handles really cleaned it up.

    • I have A 2020 1500 5.3 8 speed. LTZ. Transmission problems since 60,000 miles. Started when I go to store in morning to get my morning coffee before work leave truck running get back in put it in drive/ rev no movement step on gas a little slams into gear. Put in neutral step on gas little shake then put in gear and gose.  Shut truck off start .. ok now at stop light stop truck after a few seconds feel a little kick if that doesn’t happen stuck in 3/4 gear shut truck off wait few seconds and start usually ok again. If you down shift manually ok as long as you get into 1st before stop. If not it kicks . I WANT A NEW TRANSMISSION. Now I want a new truck it just hit 80,000 IDK IF ILL BUY CHEVY CAUSE THEY STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM AND REFUSE TO RECALL . Oh I’ve changed the fluid and filter 3 times now. And yes used mobile 1 not ac/delco cause it’s not meeting the requirements that mobile is did use ac/delco filter
    • Of course refrain from political debate but I myself have very dismal hope for what is all going on up here every where we turn so I nodded my head when I saw this joke.
    • I'm looking at carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand and lumbar fusion.
    • While waiting for parts I have been working on installing the AC compressor, new accumulator, and orifice tube. Also changed out the high side ball valve (original). The orifice tube that was in there wasn't too bad. Slightly dirty, a little bit of junk, but not blocked. Glad I changed it out.   The accumulator, which should have been a 5 minute job, may have just burned $50. Put some PAG in it, wrote the date and mileage on the side, fresh o-rings and gooey'd up the threads and rings with Nylog. Got everything connected and snugged and was going to vacuum down the system, and....   My manifold gauge won't fit on the port. It's not an R12 service port. It LOOKS like an R134 service port but the diameter is a hair too large. There's a sticker on the accumulator that says it's designed to be used with R12 and R134a systems only. So it's not R1234yf. Even if I reduced the diameter slightly with a file, the shoulder on the port is too large so the quick-connect valve won't lock on. I'm stumped. It's going back, and 50/50 on if they'll give me a refund.   Also, I did a fuel pressure test.... Key on, the gauge spikes to about 60psi and quickly bleeds off, like 2psi per second. The fuel isn't going into the plenum, no smell, starts fine, so I'm guessing there's a bad check valve in the pump and the fuel is just draining back into the tank. oh, hell. But, it shouldn't be a problem, pump primes just fine and the truck starts right up. It just means I can't really ever use fuel pressure to verify a leak at the injector or intake.
    • Got this yesterday out of nowhere. Truck is a 25',6.6 gasser with 8k miles.  Only semi anomaly is that the truck had been sitting, uncranked for 6 days. Elec Stability Control showed immediately upon cranking, not while driving. No drivability issues, just the message. Battery didn't seem to be weak when cranking over.  I drove it, killed it, let it sit a few hrs with no avail.  Truck is 100% stock. No damage.
