Finally Got My All-terrain Cupholders

So about a week ago I decided that I was tired of looking at that big empty bucket that sits in the console of my 2009 GMC Sierra SLT. I ordered the cup holder from the Sierra All-Terrain (#20811674). I finally got it today and thought that I would share my install.

 

I ordered the cup holder from gmpartsgiant.com. I am not sure how much I like them, but the were okay. They were a little hard to contact and shipping was definitely not fast.

 

So here is the console that comes on the standard SLTs:

 

 

I started by removing the set of cup holders in the bin. They are removed by just pulling up on them hard. They will just pop right out.

 

 

The bin is then removed by pulling up on the back of it. There are 4 clips that hold it in place and there are 2 tabs at the front that slip into grooves in the console.

 

 

 

 

Which one looks better?

 

 

The new system goes in just the same way that the other one came out, front first and then snap down the back.

All in all I am very pleased with the transformation. I think that it makes the interior of the truck look much more luxurious than the cheap bucket that comes standard on these trucks.

nice.. I went the other way, I took those out and put the bucket in, I wanted the space, and the All -Terrain style lacks storage space..

Can you get some pict's of the covers open? I imagine the large cover is the cup holder, is the smaller opening for change and whatnot?

Clean install...The All Terrain "cup holder" looks much better but where are the cup holders ?
