suburban lift!

Is there some way i can have a 1 - 2 inch lift gain by messing with the torsion bars? If so how would the ride be and handling be? 03 suburban.  Thanks! :thumb:

If it is a 4wd Suburban and has the front torsion bars you can crank them up to raise the front of your truck.  1" would be very easy to achieve and shouldn't change your ride stiffness too much.  Anything over that will really firm up your front end.

 

Just remember to crank each side up the same number of turns, and it would be a good idea to have the alignment checked after you are done.

 

Some people have used the "Ford Keys" in their bars and have achieved pretty good results.

Here ya go! 6inch lift, 285 BFGs, and some custom wheels on our 02 Suburban...along with a few other goodies.

It all depends on how far you want to go. I am sure a lot more tire would have fit.
