Drivers Side Mirror Problem.

I have the power turn signal mirrors on my 07 nbs silverado. Drivers side assembly is really loose. Went to the dealer this morning and they said its a broken spring inside. No part #, just have to replace the whole assembly. Has any1 had this problem? Can it be fixed? Or am I looking for a new mirror.

 

Mirrors were bought used off of a 09 I think.

There is a "detent" in the folding assembly in the mirrors.

It is a spring and a ball that holds the mirror in position.

Somebody probably "horsed it" trying to fold it or they hit

the mirror hard on a post or garage door frame thus screwing

up the detent.

 

Prob. why they were for sale used in the first place. Maybe a

warranty takeoff piece....................

Hi I have the same problem with my drivers side mirror. I brought the mirror used. When I drive the truck the mirror assembly shakes. I have to purchased a new mirror. I purchased a New Kool Vue Mirror on Ebay and looks the same as the original. Tomorrow I am going to install the new mirror.

Cool. I've gotten a couple of sets from ebay and they have been in good condition.
