Anyone Know What This Plug Is For?

So I was vaccuming my truck out the other day and found this under the passenger seat. There are a couple wires that look like they were ripped off. At first I thought it may have something to do with the airbag sensor and switch but the light on the headliner is working properly and I do not have any check engine lights...

Anyone know what this is for and should I repair the wires or let them go?

Thanks!

Lear was most likely the seat manufacturer. Do all of your seat functions work ? Are they heated ? It looks like it was caught in the track.

That's exactly what it is. If the plug is removed completely you may get a "Service Airbag" message on the DIC.

Unless it is under warranty, I would not pay the outrages fees that dealers charge for labor. Try to fix it yourself.

Fix it yourself. Easy job. Just don't forget to have the ignition off. Disconnecting the battery would be the best way to do this job.
