putting in 2 new thermostats, wondering what to go with. I know i can get high temp. and low temp. thermostats which is best for my truck? (used at temps -10 to 20 degrees celcius)

 

Are there any preformance upgrades I could do to the truck? Its a 6.6 LLY and is preformance wise stock. So far I'm considering the killerbee IOH and an air intake. Anyone running the IOH from killerbee? Looking for comments and is it worth the money.

not too sure about te thermostats, join duramaxforum.com...lots of good info with those boys. they know there stuff, there is guys on that site that have 10 second d-maxes. if you want performance...find someone that has EFI Live, by far the best system going for the duramax. a good tuner will provide lots of power without causing high EGT's and black smoke that wont clear up with boost. get the DSP-5 switch with all EFI tunes on it. do a reso-plug, shift kit, Air Dog lift pump, fuel rail shim, egr blocker, re-locate your pcv lines and valve, PPE cp3 fuel line inlet. with that done you could run a decent 450 RWHP easily. i see your newfie, you work in alberta?? if so talkin to joel peynton from peyntonperformance.com out of drayton valley. he is a canadian grand master tuner, he can tune the snot out of your truck and do one hell of a job. if you have the truck in fort mac i could get a guy to tune your truck for 150 bucks.

 

another thing im pretty sure the mouthpiece on the LLY turbo chokes it out pretty good, i think you can slap an LBZ turbo mouthpiece on it. that along with an AFE up-pipe will get rid of some lag for sure

I think there is only one set of thermostats available. They are set to open at staggered temps. If there is a set that is higher temp, I would be interested in where you found them.
