Z71 Or Nht Max Trailering Pack

Need some help...About to order a 6.2 Extended Cab 4x4 and was wondering if I should go with the Z71 or the NHT Max Trailering Pack. I think the NHT comes with 4 wheel disc brakes and a heavier duty rear! That correct? How much do the two differ when it comes to ride stiffness? What are everyone's thoughts? Anyone have both or driven both? Thanks!

The z71 will also come with 4 wheel disc and the larger rear end only major mechanical difference is 3.42 vs 3.73 rear end gears

I'd get the Z71. My only reasoning behind that would be that I want the Z71 appearance package and sweet Z71 wheels. Both of which require the Z71 off-road package.

The ride difference isn't worth worrying about. I've got the NHT and LOVE IT! The 3.73's rock. I went with the GMC but If I would have went Chevy, I would have gotten the Z71 appearance package. I wanted the 3.73's more so I got the GMC.

 

Either way, you can't go wrong.

um I have one and have the build sheet/order info that shows this

 

The online auto sites do not specifically call out what you get but with the 6.2 no matter what pkg you get the rear disc brakes and 9.5 rear end.

I agree the z71 appearance package is very nice but I want one in Imperial Blue so that color is not available with the z71 appearance package. Makes the decision some what easier!

I love my NHT silverado. I am at 72mph at 2000 rpms. I have the upgraded LTZ style grille which I think looks much better than the stock Silverado grille

I would have to say go with the NHT package. The NHT package in my opinion is a better package because it makes the truck more capable, while the Z71 package is a bit more of an appearence package. But....to each his own
