Tire Size For Level Kit + 1.5" Bl ( Nnbs )

I am looking at getting the CCM 2.5" leveling kit, along with a Zone 1.5" BL. I am going to be running 18"x9" Fuel Hostage Wheels with a BS of 5".

I have 2 choices in tires I was thinking of, depending on fitment issues.

I was first going to go with the 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapp's. Which, when mounted, measure out at roughly 33" Tall, and roughly 12" wide ( got these measurements from forum members with the wheels on there trucks), they weigh in at 69 lbs ea.

Now, my second choice would be the 305/70/18 Mickey Thompson MTZ's. Which when mounted run short. They run roughly 33.5-33.75" Tall, and roughly 12-12.25" wide, these weigh in at 71 lbs each.

The MTZ 305/70/18 is a 35" tire all day long. I've got 7.5 inches of lift and still rub from time to time.

Agreed. You can forget that tire all together. 285/65's would be the way to go.

Thanks for the help, sorry for so many questions.

Am looking to run the biggest tire I can on this set-up as I do not want to get a big lift.

Well I mis-spoke. I have ATZ's :) not MTZ's but the MT site says the MTZ 305/70/18 is also 35.1" tall.

You MIGHT be able to fit the 305/60/18 which is 32.6 x 12.1 which is wider than the 285/65/18 but I can't say for sure it will fit without rubbing a little with the 5 bs 18x9 wheel.

Thats what the mickey thompson site says, but from a lot of research around the internet, when mounted they only run around 33.5" tall. Thats why i was curious if I could fit them, as they will be just over a 1/2" taller then the 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapps.

I just measured mine with about 6500 miles on them they measure right at 34 1/4" tall (on 18x9 wheels). Mine are ATZ's though. But again I've got 6" suspension and 1.5 body and I hit every now and again and thats after cutting a good bit of plastic and banging some metal. My wheels have 4.75 bs and yours will have 5.0 bs so unless your willing to do a great deal of cutting they aren't going to fit.

dude u got NO chance of running the 305/70/18s. They are gonna rub badly. If there is a 305/60 tire size i would recommend that over the 285 as well. It will look more aggressive because its wider, a 285 is really only two CM wider than OEM size tire..

295/70/18 nitto trail grapplers will fit. they're a 34.5x11.7x18. they put them on leveled trucks around here all the time with a little cutting and I think with your body lift you won't have to cut

Negative Ghostrider. Those definately won't fit either. Not without cutting metal out of your fenders.
