New guy checking in

Just joined the forum this morning.  I now officially run an all GM V8 family.  I sold my '96 S10 Blazer and bought the 98 GMC Suburban 1500 I mentioned above.  I also own a 95 Caprice 9C1 ex cop car, comfortably modded to go faster.  I am going to be making some performance-based mods to the Suburban starting soon, so I'm hoping to find some tips and tricks here.  

 

I've searched for info and so far it doesn't look like much is available for Suburbans so I'll be getting some interesting topics started. And hopefully I won't get chased off the forum by the folks who think only pickups are worth modding

You will find that performance mod's. are pretty much the same for trucks/SUV in the same model year. :thumb:

We don't discrimnate here we will make anything go, pull, look better.. As long as it's not a new body style dodge.

Cool...  You'll find me in the Light Duty section, reading until I get eyestrain then posting up with questions on what is not covered.  

 

Adding performance parts to a Suburban gets a strange look or two from some people but it's my nature to make whatever I drive go faster or at least realize the potential of what it already has.  First mod to the Burb is going to be building a heat-shielded cold air intake from Home Depot parts and an S&B Powerstack filter.  I saw an Air Raid intake for $165 online and thought "I could do that myself".  Plus I'm a cheap SOB
