It's not the belts , or pulley , or tensioners . Had them all off and started the truck still squealed . Almost sounds like a whistling really high pitched . Noticed there looks like an exaust leak where manifold meets head , squealing increases with throttle, truck way down on power now too ! Got an intermittent missfire code and a nother code something to do with exaust can't remember.

exhuast leaks generally sound like ticking under load not squealing...the squealing could be the power steering pump, water pump...hell even the a/c belt which is easy to overlook

check for a vac leak. use a can of carb cleaner, DO NOT USE STARTING FLUID :P and spray a small amount around your intake manifold, and all your vac lines, and don't forget your break booster. if there is a leak, you will here a change in engine rpm..

good luck

Well like i said before I had all the belts off and started it and it did the same thing , thinking about it, it sounds like w cylinder ceasing up , the high squealing and all , I did spray some wd 40 on the exaust manifoldwyer

e it was black and it slowed the noise down a bunch , but the started doing it again.

Well its fixed ! It was an exaust leak around # 1 cylinder port, sounded just like a bearing! But the true cause of the gaskets blowing out was the catiylatic converter being stopped up , took converter off and cleaned it out , now it runs like a champ !
