Collinite 845, about $14.99 a bottle. Long lasting also.

lately, I prefer Adams machine wax using the porter cable oscillating polisher. Does a nice job, and the PC saves a lot of time.

I believe there is a discount for forum members.

Indeed... the code is GMTRUCKS and saves you guys 10% off store wide.

We offer 3 'waxes' that each have a strong suit

Machine Superwax (recently renamed Machine Super Sealant) is a synthetic, offers excellent protection and durability, a very bright reflective shine, but does require a machine to apply it properly.

Buttery Wax is a reinforced carnuba polymer blend. Really easy on/easy off product, short term durability, but good depth of shine and can be applied in all conditions including direct sunlight

Americana is our primo stuff, a blend of the highest grade of brazilian carnuba available. Excellent detergent resistance and durability. Provides the deepest/wettest shine of all our products.

How many waxes could i get out of a tub of the Americana?

a lot! i've had one tub for over a year now, i've waxed 3 cars with it every 4 months and i've used maybe 1/4 of it. i believe they say it has a shelf life of 2-3 years depending on the temp its stored at.

A little goes a VERY VERY VERY long ways, plus its a hard wax, not a semi-soft, or liquid so with each application the applicator isn't saturated with excess which you later end up washing out. Its safe to assume that a single pot of Americana will last you years.

Also, its a product thats been put up head to head with waxes costing $150, $250, even $600 and come out on top... Its the only thing I use on my truck and I love it.

I was a professional detailer for about 5 years. I've used not all, but A LOT of waxes. I love 3M show car paste wax. It's a little more work, but worth it. One can is around 25-30 and will last a long time. Find a cheap foam applicator (like what comes w/ turtle wax) and not a microfiber pad to put it on. This wax will give you a deep shine, slick finish, and lasts a long time.

Ive been using a double dose of applying Klasse all in one Polish and then an application of pinnacle souveran carnauba wax and I love the outcome that it gives me. I own a black truck so I can see just about every minor imperfection. The Klasse does a great job of removing most contaminants that the clay didnt pick up and prepares the surface for the wax application. Carnauba wax wont last as long as other waxes out there but it does look great to me. And if you really want to get into it you can... clay--> klasse all in one polish--> paint sealant--> carnauba wax and they say that gives you about 8 months of protection though you should apply more carnauba wax every couple months or so. I was doing this method until I just wasnt able to come up with the time it takes for this process. I have no garage and weather around here sucks and it was requiring about 17 hours of work and 12 hours of sealant cure time. Anyhow, this is one guys opinion....

LOOKS SICK! Looks like a lot more work than just a good coat of wax there.

Over the Counter I like Meguires NXT or Ultimate Wax. Their ClayBar kit is nice and easy too (I recommend Claying).

There is nothing Easier than Optimum Car Wax (any online dealer, I am a fan of Autogeek.net) Spray on wipe off. Slick, looks nice, EASY, lasts quite a while on my truck but i havn't been driving it much.

The paint is corrected in those pics, meaning it had been polished, but thats just as much a part of getting the most out of any wax as anything else.

You can apply $1000 boutique wax over poorly prepped paint and it'll look terrible... to get the most out of the looks, durability, etc. the paint should be properly decontaminated, corrected, and prepped for wax.

Simply washing and then slapping a coat of wax down isn't maximizing the potential of whatever you choose to apply. Its better to spend $200 on products to correct/prep the paint and $20 on wax than it is to spend nothing on prep and $200 on just wax.
