05 Silverado Bose Swap Out

Hey everyone. I will be swapping out the bose system in my truck soon (head unit is shot, and want to add a sub). Will be replacing the head unit, and adding a sub. My question is, as far as wiring, can i still wire in the stock 8" sub in the center consol so it still works in conjunction with my 12"? The little 8" produces some decent bass, and i think that little extra up front would be cool. I also dont care about steering wheel controls or anything, do i still need a PAC adaptor? I intend on pulling the bose amp out, because ive heard it decreases bass as volumn is turned up? Thanks for the advice.

I have a friend that needs the bose amp for his 05 Sierra SLT. Any interest in selling and shipping to Canada?
