I thought it was marriage advice. It wasnt.

He was obviously talking about buying a new truck.....lets see..tonneau, bed mat, Westin nerfs, K&N Drop In, some Zaino that cost ? but I dont have it and dont even know what it looks like, Air Deflectors, Sun Deflector, Bug Deflector....blah blah blah......any more deflectors and I will need a Deflector deflector. So much deflecting going on that NASA wants to use the air space around my truck to practice weightlessness. I drive around here in Albany and all the bugs in New Jersey move out of my way.

Anyway, someone send money. I need more stuff. And some gas.

I'm in the same boat as you are Newbie.It seems that I have been dropping some cash on mods lately myself.

I can also relate to Friz about the wonders of beer so that may be the second strike against me.

Oh well,you can't take it with you when you die so enjoy it now I guess.

What did my dad always say? When I was younger I did not understand some of them but as time has passed and he has been gone 2 years today some come to mind very quickly and easy. Saying #1 "MAN MADE IT, MAN BROKE IT, MAN HAD BETTER #### WELL FIX IT!!!" Saying #2 now remember I was a kid in the late 60's and early 70's "If your not in bed by 10:00 might as well come on home." In this day and age I tell my 17 year old son saying #1 and have changed saying #2 to "That thing is for peeing until you get married!!!"

The thing I remember most that both my mom and dad said was "Wait til you have a kid, you'll understand". And boy, do I understand. I make some of the same "parent decisions" that I hated when I was younger. Life has a funny way of changing as you grow older, and especially when you have kids.

Actually, my favorite dad saying was in reference to women...........he said "Son, when you hang around a bunch of "4's", all of a sudden a "6" don't look so bad...
