From Goodyear-Self Inflating Tires. Seems kind of neat.

sounds cool but it seems like it will just take the place of having to check your tire pressure every so often. it cannot counteract a blowout. even so, cool to see someone advancing the tire industry.

what if i want lower the pressure for better traction or inflate higher for hauling a heavy load? since it seems to be inside and uses the rotation of the tire to inflate no way to adjust it if it was adjustable without breaking at least one bead. never catch on. now if it was made into the wheel with a external adjustment that would be fine. then you would only pay for it once. not every time you buy a new tire.

Well, it'd be a good thing for 90% of the drivers out there who never check their tires....but for those of us who do, or who may have a need to adjust pressures outside of normal, it'd be a pain to deal with I agree.

Yeah your right, I run into people all the time who fill there tires till it "looks good". With age I started giving up trying to fix stupid.
