Fan And Clutch Assembly Removal

I am having to replace the water pump on my truck, however I am stuck right now. When I went to remove the fan and clutch assembly, I didn't have an open end wrench big enough. I went and bought a set of metric wrench decribes as "giant". The largest size was a 32mm, however still not big enough. Does anyone know what size the nut is that attaches the fan and clutch assembly to the water pump pulley?? I can't drive the truck right now so I am just having to guess when I go to the store to pick up more tools. I called local parts stores and two local chevy dealerships and no one could tell me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

wht the above guy said works great,

the wrench size is 1- 7/16 ....set it up and hit it with a good hammer ....be VERY CAREFULL where the wrench will go ,if it doesnt go in a few shots (with the belt on of course) go to an air chisel as mentioned on the flat of the hex ...

wrench and hammer it back on after pump r & r
