Painted Steel Oem Wheels

My new 2500HD has the OEM painted steel wheels on it. With less than 2,000 miles on the truck and only one hand wash (by me) under it's belt, these wheels have splotches all over them(truck had 1,000 on it when I took delivery). It looks as if some sort of acid or something was sprayed on them. Neither wax or metal polish does anything to help it. The paint is not chipping or anything, there's just a definite look to all 4 is if some sort of harsh chemical was sprayed on them or allowed to drip onto them at some point in time, obviously before I took delivery of it.

 

While I do not plan to keep these wheels very long, I would prefer they look decent while I do have them, especially considering it is a brand new vehicle. Is a warranty claim in order here, or is there some way for me to fix this problem with a particular polish/cleaner?

i have them on my 1500, hate them... although mine are holding up very well. my buddies dad is starting a powder coating business, i may have them powder coated chrome, or black. not sure. either way a new set of wheels/tires are in my future
