Very nice rig, man!  :thumb:

Pardon my ignorance, but were the Ferd keys hard to install?  And did you need to get a front end alignment?

Did it stiffen up the ride any?

Just trying to decide if this is a better route for me than cranking the torision bars.

Sorry for all the questions!  :chevy:

I paid somebody $50 to do the install but it cant be too bad. Anytime u raise/lower a vehicle you need to check the alignment. The ride noticably is stiffer than stock but not bad at all. I drive 50 miles one way just to get to work so if it rode like a wagon i couldnt put up with it.

Ok, not to sound like a complete idiot but what the heck are ford torsion keys?? :chevy: Never heard of that mod but from what I have head you talk about it, I am very interested! Will they work on a HD??

If you have an HD your shouldn't need them...basically the ford keys will upgrade you from the travel you get out of a half ton to the travel of a 3/4 ton.  By nature the 3/4 ton which are actually 1 ton on the HD you need more travel to accomodate the larger spring rate/height.  I used to change out the 1/2 ton ones on my older chevy's with 1 ton ones so that I could get larger tires under stock.  I have 285's with no problem and I didn't turn em up all the way....check out the other guys on here, they have bigger than me, 305/315 with no problem.  I myself don't like running them ALL the way up to the bump stops...thats just not good for the front end in full travel.  I wish I had put 305's on myself...if nothing else they are a little wider.  We'll solve all that with the new fabtech here soon.
