After i add larger tires i'll need to calibrate the speedo, is this something that can be done with a scanner on newer cars? I just did it on my 87 trans am after adding 3:73's and needed new gears for the 700r4. but these tires are going to be 34" so not much bigger than stock so i wouldnt think new speedo gears are necessary if there is some way to do it on the scanner.

It's done with a programmer and there are no gear changes in the trans.

As mentioned, all done with some type of programmer. If you choose to go with a custom tune, you can make up for the power loss too :dunno:

1 tuner, 1 truck. If you upload the tune to the truck, then it can't be used on another truck till the first truck was returned to stock.

oh ok. ive never tuned anything. i was hoping i could just find someone who had a tuner and have them program the computer or something and give them a 6 pack lol

speed calibrator

what do you guys think about this? although i did like the mentioned add of power from a regular programmer (since i only have the 4.8L) but this is so cheap lol

For a few more bucks you can have a custom tune that you'll love, I wouldn't buy the thing you linked to.
