Just wondering if anyone here is a fan of the 87-88 Monte Carlo SS. I have had 2 88's. The second had 43k original miles on it. My buddy and I stripped it down to bare metal and he put a show quality paint job on it.......Went back to complete stock look with all stripes. Had to sell it 4 years ago as wife and I were buying land to built. Well we ended up selling the land and just found an 88 for sale locally........hmmmmm...

Here is a pic of what was my baby........

I had my hands on an '86 that was the same color as yours, for a night, back about 15 years ago. The old boy that owned it didn't want to deal on it so I let it go. In a way I kinda wish that I would have jewed back and forth some more with him but there are still plenty around so no biggie, really.

Good luck and nice car.

Nice car and always loved the body style. Just wasn't a fan of the stock motor... to slow  Otherwise a great car.

My lil brother had an 88 LS with T-tops. Before that, he had an 84. And my buddy had a 87 SS with T-tops. I had an 87 Cutlass. We were all big G-body fans.

If I could find an unmolested 87-88 G-body, I'd like to get one and eventually stuff an LS engine in there.

The GMC runs great. It does seem to quick shift from 1st to 2nd on me durong normal acceleration......Something I would like to have tweaked. But other than that love it. Every once in a while I put it too the wood just to put that smile on my face that all BB tuned 6.2L owners know soo well HAHA

I've spent a lot of time and money driving and working on that style Monte Carlo, however mine looks a little different than yours...

my dad had a pair of black 87's with faun interior. a notchback and an aerocoupe. he sold the notchback and kept the aerocoupe. the car has about 25000 miles on it.

I am also a big fan of these cars.
