Mirror Swap

OK so my little bro bought a 2003 Silverado 1500 with the accordian style trailer mirrors with turn signals. I have a 2002 1500HD with just the regular heated power mirrors. Now I am sure that either set will bolt onto either truck but if we do swap would the turn signals work on my HD?

you would have tap under the dash if your door does not have the proper connection...here is the original instructions:
