What models had hydra boost. 2003 1500 with optional heavy duty brake package? Dealer had vaccum boost or hydra boost master cylinder listed for my truck which has light duty brakes.

My truck has vaccum boost.Just wondered my gm used hydra boost on some models.

Its a heavier braking system, than the vacuum (usually is the case at least)...... Sometimes they use it for space problems too. And if its a diesel, you have no vacuum unless you add a pump on the drive belt or electric pump. Either way Hydro-boost is the perfect answer for a diesel...... BC the power steering pump is always turning when the engine is. And they have a reserve just like a vacuum booster.
