Wiring A Tailgate Light Bar

I am wiring a 5 function tailgate light barwith scanning turn signal to my 2007 new body style Silverado 2500 HD. There was no instructions for the Chevy, just generic. Since the brake and turn signal are the same wires I am getting scanning break lights. I connected it without turns for now. Can anyone help?

If the bar has the 4-flat plug on it, get a T-connector. It plugs in between the factory wiring harness and round plug on bumper, then allows you to plug the 4-flat into it and still be able to use the round plug on the bumper without cutting any wires.

Easiest thing to do is plug it into the factory harness. If it's not the right connection on the light bar, you can buy the correct one at almost any auto parts store or Wal-Mart. This way, you don't have to worry about cutting the wrong wire or any wires at all.

Thank you for your help. I am going to look into the adapter. One other thing is there is the white wire that I have hard wired for reverse and then a red wire that has to be hard wired, not sure the reason for this, the 4 plug has the left, right, break and running lighs. I included the link for the product.
