Fuel Guage Problem

ok, so i just replaced the sending unit in my 86 c1500 6.2 diesel, and its reading a quarter tank at full, and i know its not stuck and i know the guage works, so i dont know whats next

ok, so i just replaced the sending unit in my 86 c1500 6.2 diesel, and its reading a quarter tank at full, and i know its not stuck and i know the guage works, so i dont know whats next

 

 

check for proper voltage at the sender, also gnd the sending wire at the tank and make positively sure gauge swings to full.....I,ve had some issues with the body harness growing green fuzzies at the connectors which gives false resistance to the gauge.
