Th350 '76 C10

Attached is a picture of an adapter that is much like the one on my truck, a '76 C10 w/TH350 trans. the one I have leaks like a blasted sieve (guessing the ring seal is bad) I am running 15 in tires all around (stupid to run diff sizes I know), my speedo reads anywhere from 70 - 95 mph when my gps says I'm going 65. When my dad ran this truck he had 16" tires (thing looked like a chihuaua with a lift kit). My question do I need this adapter on here still? If info needed I "think" the rear end is a 4.11 (the truck was listed as a "camper special"). I have plans on changing the rear end to a 3.73 on the adivce of a friend who is also changing his from a 3.08 to 3.73.

Yes you still need it and yes, they are still available via the aftermarket.
