Hummer H2 wheels and tires?

There must be half a dozen sets of Hummer H2 wheels and tires for sale on e-bay right now.  Some chrome, very expensive, most aluminum.  the wheels are 17x8.5 and most come with BFG AT KO 305/70/17  or 315/75/17.  Have any of you considered this?  For the price, I think I might do it.  Just don't know if they will fit.  You can buy a complete set of wheels and tires for under $1000 including shipping.  Christ, I just paid over $600 for my BFG's (installed) and they are only 265's.  Hmmm.  how would the hummer center caps look on a GMC though?

I am positive that they will bolt right on.  They have the same 8 lug 6 1/2" pattern.  I'm just curious if a 12.5"X35.5" tire will fit without "trimming" anything. probably not I guess.

I installed those wheels and tires on my truck last week, no lift, minor trimming on the front bumper.  The only place it rubs is at full lock.  Even with the quadrasteer there's no rubbing.  That's what I was worried the most about.  Getting a 6" lift later this week, hopfully that'll get rid of the rubbing.

I do have the TBs cranked about 8 turns though.  As far as the center caps, I installed the factory chrome caps back on it.  Looks ok.

I have such a huge wheel well gap with my stock 2500HD and little baby 245 width 16 inch tires/wheels.  How in the world can the 17 inch Hummer wheels/tires rub?   ???   I'd like some new wheels/tires, but don't want to modify the truck otherwise.  Any other comments?

They are a lot larger than your stock tires. Your stock tires are essentially a 31x9.50-16, the Hummer H2's are 35x12.50-17. They are 4 inches taller and 3 inches wider than your stockers.

Oh okay.  So, I guess rubbing would be an issue without a lift.  I like lifted trucks, but #### my 2WD 2500HD sits high enough as it is.  My girlfriend has a hard time climbing up into it as it is.

I was surfing around looking for pictures in old posts, and found a pic of 1500cc's 15OOHD QS.  http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/h_viking/vwp?.dir=/2003+GMC+1500HD&.dnm=03driverside315s.jpg&.src=ph&.view=t&.hires=t

Now that is a good looking truck!!!  My question is, has anybody else put H2 wheels on their truck??  1500cc's post said that in the picture all he had done was some trimming of the air dam, without a lift.

1500cc----Have you done the 6" lift yet???

I agree that those Hummer wheels and 35's look sweet but what would be the actual gear ratio if your truck started with the stock 245's  with 4.10 or 3.73. How hard would it be to get them rolling?
