Got a good look at the new 12's, the body is much improved looking, not only with front bumper but it looks like GM thinned out the fender flares so it doesn't look ridiculous looking with stock tires on it. Waiting to see what they will go with as far as engine choice in near future. I'm thinking they will do the 6.2 or possibly take the 7.0 and put it in the 2500HD's.

The exhuast pipe also looked improved as it wasn't sticking out past the rear tire like the previous years. I'm just shocked at the price tag of what they are asking for at the local dealers here in NJ where I'm at. The WT model starts at $38k. I remember my 03 LS selling for $37k plus tax, title, ect.

hen, they will never put an aluminuim block in a 2500 or larger because of the the possible overheat issue in a working enviroment , cast iron is much more forgiving!

It was all basic. Non power windows, no a/c i don't think. Entry level. Had the ugly steel wheels (the kind of wheel that looks like my spare tire). Rubber floor, all basic, way over priced. Those trucks back in 03 were under $30k.

 

I would like to see stainless steal manifolds used on alumium head. The steal contracts with aluminum.

I read somewhere that GM dropped the 7.0 in favor of an iron block version of the 6.2 for the next HD's. I guess to keep up with Ford since they have their new 6.2.
