Factory radio lights going out?

The lights on the factory radio in my 04 Silverado are slowly going out. First it was the seek button now it's preset buttons 3-6. And a few others that I can't remember right now. The temp slider on my heater also doesn't light up anymore.

 

Besides getting a new radio is there a possible fix to this? I don't really mind them going out but it's just annoying.

im pretty sure that you cant fix the radio lights but you can fix the heater control lights..

I had this happen in another truck I had before. Stealership wanted a little shy of $600 to take it out and send it off to be fixed. The fix would take approximately 8 weeks and the whole time I would have a huge whole in my dash......so I put a new radio in that I bought at Best Buy.

In our experience, if you drive the truck, the lights will die, plain and simple. They all do after a certain number of hours..

 

Like @FlaskTL said, it might be time to look at a new deck rather than go through the pain of re-lamping the old one...
