flex fuel and shelf life ?

From what I understand if it is sealed, it will last for years. If opened to the atmosphere, it will suck moisture out of the air and get a little bit diluted.

Hello. The shelf life of E-85 is 90 days. I used E-85 all summer in my last two GMC trucks. The trucks were stored all fall until I use them in the winter. For me that's four months. No issues with the fuel. Randy

if your storing it for a long period of time, i thought it was better to park it with pretty much an empty tank....

can you use fuel stabilizer in it like you do in regular fuel?

I think my yellow gas cap says, No fuel additives". I think thats for flex fuel only. I'm sure you can use stabil in regular gas..........

Most fuel additives are fuel system cleaners, which is alcohol-based to remove gunk and varnish left behind by gasoline. Since e85 is mostly alcohol, it don't make sense to add a bottle of that pricey crap. E85 makes your engine self-cleaning!
