Sits most of the time, 3500 w/Trailer Towing, so, every two weeks, measure battery voltage, Interstate MT-78DT, 2 yrs old, and generally, reads 12.1 volts. Quiesent drain is 25 milliamperes - ECM, radio presets, and clock.

Two chargers I have, Schaumbacher, less than one year old, and Black & Decker, six yrs old, connect to main battery and charge it.

The next time I go drive the truck, the ECM has been reset, as in back to Day One, all memory is lost, including radio presets. Previous battery charger before these two was a 30 yr old Schaum, hook up battery and plug in, select voltage and no issues later.

These new ones, especially the latest, has a microprocessor - for a battery charge?

You opinion?

Why the reset with the newer chargers? Everett

Gotta be missing something. No issues using the latest and greatest chargers out there on these trucks although not specifically these exact chargers, honestly.
