'07 Sierra NBS seat foam

I have a 2007 new body style Sierra and I find the driver's seat foam ( the one you sit on) is really broke down...I called the dealer here(Ontario, Canada) and they want 170.00 plus taxes. Is there any place you guys know that to get this cheaper??? I want a Genuine GM part as well.

I have used my local apholstry shop to rebuild even brand new seats that I thought were too firm and hurt my back.

 

So many auto mfgs have gone to these firm seats that to me are not comforatable. A buddy has a 99 model GMT300 Suburban, and those were nice soft comfortable seats. The GMT800s had decent seats, but you don't notice quite so much the changes they make like with these seats when they do it over a couple generations of truck series.

 

Its not a big deal to have them rebuilt with new foam and if you want them a little softer, I am sure they could acomidate you with that as well.

 

Around here they charge about 75.00-100.00 per seat to rebuild the foam in them or to add extra foam padding. Most of it is just the labor of pulling the seats and tearing them down and putting them back together. The foam is not much. I spent 150.00 having padding added to both captains chairs in my 07 Suburban, again the same thing when I added foam to the 09 Expedition I bought to replace that 07 suburban.
