Advent Question -- Onstar Turn by Turn

Do Turn by Turn Directions work with the OGM1? If so how/where are the directions displayed and which system does the voice commands--the advent or onstar?

 

Also Can I retain my usb outlet in the console on my 2011 yukon?

The onstar works just like it did stock..

 

Yes, you can keep the USB in the console. I just did it on my 2012 Sierra Slt...

The OnStar turn by turn is available two different ways: Audio directions if you don't have a factory navi, or with the factory navi as downloadable directions that show up on the factory navi screen.

 

The Advent doesn't change anything the factory OnStar does, but it will not communicate with it via data, so if you currently use the spoken turn by turn directions and want to continue to use them, you'll be able to. However, it WILL NOT allow you to download destinations via OnStar to the navigation screen (and since that service is hideously expensive anyway, it might be a good thing to enter those yourself...)
