Exhaust Manifold to head gasket?

I have an '07 Sierra NBS with a 5.3. I have the dreaded ticking sound and noticed that there are 3 bolts broken off. Just wondering if my truck will have Gaskets that i have to replace between the head and exhaust manifold? Does GM have an updated bolt that will stand up a little longer then the original ones?

Yes, there are gaskets, not sure about updated bolt.

Man am I glad I have held onto my GMT-800. Some of the stuff I read on here about the 900's I just can't believe.

This is not an uncommon issue across multiple years. I had 2 manifold bolt heads pop on my '02 Yukon Denali. The studs are easy to remove if they broke above the head surface. If not, you'll likely have to weld a bolt onto the broken stud to work it out.

It's the issue that comes with the aluminum heads on Chevy trucks.
