Comfort shocks?

I am helping a buddy and am going to put new shocks on his 03 Suburban. Of course, if it was me, I would use the Bilsteins. But he doesn't want a firm ride, more like a comfort ride (medical issues). It doesn't look like the Bilsteins come in a comfort shock for that model, only HD. So, I guess I will look at KYB or Monroe Sensomatic. Does anyone know which would be a more comfortable ride or are there any others I should look at. Not necessarily looking for cheap and all driving is on the road/highway.

look at the spring rates on them. the lower the spring rate, the softer the ride.

Rancho makes adjustable shocks. i put a set of these on my dad's truck and he loves them. he leaves the front alone and only changes the rears when he tows.

Go to the Monroe website, they break down every kind of shock they offer. Stiffer, smoother, adjustable, they are all there. I got Monroe Reflexes, I wanted stiff but Bilsteins/Rancho were a bit out of budget at the time. I like them but still might be stiffer than you prefer.

Thanks for the input. I think we will go with the Monroe's, not sure which model. Either the Reflex Monotube or the Sensatrac. I can get them at Advance Auto for a good price.
