00Silverado4x4 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 So as I'm looking through the grill of the truck I got curious. I have a few radiators/coolers but unsure which one is which. I know the front most "book" size is the trans cool, but on the driver side there is a small upright 3" x 8" (guesstimate size). Also I noted there seems to be two bigger radiators back to back behind both of these. So obviously one will be the engine radiator but what is the upright one & the second bigger one? I'm assuming one is a engine oil cooler as was in my previous Sonoma, but the other ones...???

The you hae your A/C condenser. Then your engine radiator.
00Silverado4x4 Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 Oh yeah, A/C condenser...duh. Is there an option for an engine oil cooler on the 1500s? Any idea what that would like...provided I had it. Never looked that close at the old Sonoma so now kind of curious. After 6 years of owning I'm still learning things about this truck. Thanks for the help.
gmtech4 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 you have an engine oil cooler ,it in the radiator,,,follow the lines from the filter
00Silverado4x4 Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 I'll get a better search light & take a look. The more I look under the hood, the more lines I seem to find on this truck. Thanks
