dual zone climate control

the air worked just fine this summer but the heat only blows hot air when it's set to 90 and then itll cook ya. at 89 it blows cool air in. also when i use the remote start it never blows warm air just cold at full blast. at least the motors warm. i changed out the antifrezze and flushed it in the process with no differant results

Do a search for blender door actuators. It would seem that a few people have that problem. Your air flow is not being directed across the heater core properly. Good luck & happy reading!

Dosnt seem to be my problem. air will come out wherever i want it. but itll only be warm when its at 90

Not real sure I only know from what I've read on here. I don't have any first hand knowledge of that type problem, sorry.

Not saying the blender door actuator is the problem, but if that is your problem it doesn't restrict airflow... Only the temp of the airflow. My wifes Yukon Denali (gmt800) has done it 2x since we bought it. Airflow is fine but it would only blow hot. Both times I pulled over, shut if off and then restarted the motor and it was fine.

ok that makes more sense. its been doing it since it got cold. at least i can have it at 90. rather be too hot than too cold

You may try and reset the system. My GM800 required this after I had it apart for a lengthy repair. Set your temp control all the way to the cold setting and your vent control to the vent/dash setting. Disconnect the negative lead on the battery and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Reconnect the battery turn the key to the on position, do not start. Let it sit in the on position for a good couple of minutes. Turn the key back to off then start the truck.

 

I had to do the procedure twice, once to get the proper vent control and then to get the proper temp. Good luck.
