leaking rain water in cab

I went to replace my ac/heater blower which is located on the passenger side. I pulled the carpet back and noticed the floor was soaking wet. I kept the carpet back so it would dry but everytime it rains it get wet again. I ran the water hose over the windsheild area to see if I could find a leak but couldnt.

 

This is a 2001 GMC 2500hd exetended cab.

 

The problem is the passenger side floor board is getting wet underneath the carpet.

 

 

Anyone had this problem?

Do you have a sun roof? Check your door seal and make sure nothing is out of place. I think the system they have on those trucks is designed to drain the water along the top edge of the door and usually follows down to your mirrors and out the bottom of the door near your rocker panels.

Had the same problem a while back with an S10 Blazer. Ended up being the door weatherstrip - it had pulled away in a few spots, but one of those spots ended up being where the water flowed when parked.
