Has any body ever installed fog lamps on their Sierra sL, I bought my truck new and well the sL model doesn't come with standard fog lamps the dealership wants $400 dollars for the kit ( 2 lamps, 1 wiring harness, and the button/switch ) and that isn't including the installation, kind of pricey! I found the same exact eom blah blah parts on eBay for $300, now, you see where this is going? Do it your selfer, written all over this.Im a pretty handy guy when it comes to turning wrenches, but I will admit, it seems to me the hardest part will be taking apart the the dash board to install the switch/on/off button, I'm not to confident in dissembling anything inside the truck so if any body has tips suggestions etc please let me know! By the way I have a 2011 model.

I dont know about the newer gm trucks but my 05 is easy to take apart the dash . I suggest trying to look on you tube on how to install a aftermarket sterow and they will take off the front dash for that to be done . look at like 10 different vids and make sure its a nice warm day out wont break plastic easy that way compared to cold weather.

I believe the wires are hanging around under the bumper, and popping te dash off where the switch goes is as easy as pulling it off. I had fog lights from the factory but I've pulled the dash piece off for the DIC mod, pretty simple

installed them myself on my 2010 sierra, bought the kit and followed the instructions. Can't go wrong if you take your time.

Is yours sL

I did this on my SL. You must add the harness they send with the kit. Changing the switch is real easy, and you can add the DIC at the same time. The GMaccessories fog kit is pricey, but, you only need what is in the kit, it contains everything, and has well written instructions.
