hey

Been Considering an HP Tuners Tune that a local shop provides for me but i'm a bit scared from that!

So my question is what are the pros and cons of a tune assuming i am going to sell the car will the engine get worn faster ? Or is it safe ?

Well goin to be the first to say it, black bear tune is the way to go. And like any power adder, you will see a decrease in engine life for but shouldn't be anything that you will have to worry about.

If your beating on the motor everyday, then sure, your going to reduce engine life. But... if the tune is done properly that shouldn't be a worry. I've had my last 4 trucks tuned and not one of them has had any issues. If you were talking Diesel making 750+ HP sure, I'd worry about longevity, but with Gas tunes, were only talking 20-30hp possible over stock.

Pro's - Better shifts, more power, sometimes more mpg.

Con's - Dealers don't like it.

GM tunes your truck... a tuning company just makes it more efficient for your truck. No worries there

Exactly as stated above me! Make sure those guys KNOW what they are doing.

I say go for it! If you're skeptical of those guys, definitely go with blackbear :driving:

How much is your local tuner going to charge? With Blackbear and EFI Live, you'll be able to swap tunes whenever you want. You'll be able to have your transmission tuned as well. Once you have the EFILive tuner everything is handled through email. Justin at Blackbear has a lot of experience tuning and can get you fixed up and very happy.

Dyno-wise: if its my first time i have to pay bout 400 bucks the removal of the tune is for free but the next time i want to get tuned again i only pay 100

If i dont want it dyno-ed i'll just pay 100 bucks
