New BBQ Grill!

I finally broke down and bought a new gas grill yesterday. I bought a Weber stainless steel 3 burner grill with full cabinet underneath and stainless grates. Very excited to use it. I already own a Weber Performer grill which is the charcoal kettle grill mounted to a large side table cart that uses the small camping propane to light it, then it's all coals from there. I've always considered myself a charcoal guy, but I decided I wanted a gas grill for these winter evenings to throw on a couple steaks real quick and have a good meal without freezing my ass off. Just curious what you all you grilling enthusiasts are using.

I have a Weber Genisis, probably 10 years old it has been great and still going strong. I want to add a Big Green Egg next, they are suppose to be fantastic.

yes the big green egg is supposed to be just about the best smoker/grill money can buy. It's crazy how much money you can sink into these grills. I paid a little over 500 for my Weber gas and it's on their lower line of grills. Heck, my Weber Performer charcoal grill was 300 bucks. But the warranty durableness of the better grills is well worth the money in the long run.

I paid ~450 for my Genises 10 years ago and like I said still going strong. Had a cheaper model before that and it was junk in ~2 years. So the webers are well worth the money, I know there are others out there too, Ducane is another good one.

ive got a kingsford charcoal grill and kingsford cabinet smoker. i run charcoal and hardwood primarily.

I got a Primo XL right after Christmas. So far, everything I have cooked on it has turned out great. The wife even asked me the other night when I was going to cook on it again (just finished a shutdown here at work and worked 3 weeks of 12-14 hr days without an off day). The ceramic grills are great!

I like wood but dont like the taste of charcoal grills . When I get my own place I am going to go to wall mart and get a cheap one lol . for like 300 bucks . Not paying up to 1200 for a grill.

they don't make 'em like they used to!

i'm still in an apt, but i frequently visit my parents on the weekend because my dad is always smoking something on his 20 year old, custom made pit, or his Weber Summit gas grill.

I have a Char Griller three burner gas and will soon have the matching Char Griller charcoal with the side smoker box attached. I grill with both but primarily gas due to time constrants, unfortuantly. Mine sees use all year long. Matter of fact, I have some steak to grill tonight for steak fajita's for dinner.

I also have a small tabletop Charbroil gas grill for when I'm away from home and need my grilling fix.

Just keep in mind after you spend the $300 every few years you will have paid for the good one..... My weber was $450 back when I bought it, I would reccomend that over and model that's not stainless.

are the webser parts like the guts of the bbq the same place china prob gets theirs from . Just put together in china for dirt cheap . I dont know I will try buying the cheap one and if it holds up cool if it does not then I will get the more expensive one .

No offense to the Weber guys but I've never been a fan of their quality. My last one ($300) only made it 3-1/2 years and yes, I take very good care of my grills. My Char Griller's are built twice as heavy as most others that I've seen, have great accessory and after the sale support along with the fact that I bought both complete grills, with the smoker box for less than $400.

I have a Holland Grill. Its got cast iron burner, stainless grates, and both are guaranteed for life. And to boot its guaranteed flareless. So when you get those good hamburgers you dont have to worry about putting the fire out lol.

My Char Griller's are built twice as heavy as most others that I've seen, have great accessory and after the sale support along with the fact that I bought both complete grills, with the smoker box for less than $400.

That's pretty bad 3.5 years. Mine is going on 11, never covered other then the covered porch it's on. I keep it right up against the outside railing so not like I protect it. I did change the porcelin flavorizor bars and grills out for stainless but they were older when I did that. Still has the original burners in it.
